Charles operated on me in March 2018 and removed a malignant tumour. Without Charles, his knowledge, his care and his expertise in such complicated surgeries I would not be able to write this review. I cannot recommend Dr Imber enough. He is gifted, skilled and a clear and concise communicator in such complex surgeries . I saw him for the first time since Nov 2019 due to Covid and he was courteous, caring and professional. Therefore if you are not feeling right , losing weight for no reason etc. make an appointment to see him. He is beyond doubt in the top 5 in the world at what he does and for me he will always be the number 1 surgeon in the world

I do not write reviews, one of those people that are always happy to read reviews but never contribute. However with the last few years of medical complications, I feel compelled to do so, as Doctor Imber has been nothing short of a life saver, literally. I first met Doctor Imber when I was admitted to the Princess Grace through emergency day clinic. I had a developing abscess, suffering immense pain and presenting early signs of sepsis. Unfortunately not the first time I have been in this situation, I was aware along with the doctors on hand I needed surgery to remove the infection, quickly, but they were not sure if they would find a surgeon so late on a Saturday, enter Doctor Imber. From the moment I met him he was nothing short of sympathetic to my pain and concerns. After the surgery he visited and with help of his lovely PA Jane, gave very supportive aftercare. Although I am no medical expert, the incision and recovery were drastically less than the surgery I had previously, so id wage, he is also clinically good. Unfortunately, my story did not end there, the abscess re occurred nearly exactly one year later, this time in the depths of the pandemic. With new restrictions and workloads making any medical procedures very difficult, Doctor Imber (and again the amazing Jane) found ways to ensure I was seen too as soon as possible. He then referred to a professor who specialised in the area, as he wanted to ensure the best care for me and a solution to the issue. Which then brings me to today, the abscess came back just a few months ago, the specialist I have been seeing (who was very good) was on holiday. I once again turned to doctor Imber, who did not let me down. He stayed late in clinic to see me, knowing how critical the situation could be, but also what I have been through. He re admitted me into his care, proceeding to spend much effort to find a specialist who could see me urgently. This new surgeon has potentially found the underlying cause and a solution to eradicate it. It’s been a long five years, but I imagine would have been made allot longer, allot more painful and traumatic if it wasn’t for the help of Doctor Imber. He is a great surgeon, and in my opinion a good man. I count myself lucky to have met him.
